Opening Doors to College

ImageThe job market has changed and young adults moving into the workforce must be prepared to meet its new requirements. Workers who want to enter a field that will provide a good income and advance in that field throughout a career need education beyond high school.

With more and more employers looking for workers with certificates, degrees or specialized training, it is vital that every Ohioan have the opportunity  to pursue higher education. Yet many encounter obstacles that effectively block their paths to better lives. Those with limited financial resources, those who don’t know how to navigate complicated entrance requirements and those who simply have never considered college within their grasp are often cut off from the education they need.

Ohio Education Matters pushes for policy changes and programs that make it easier for all Ohioans to pursue education beyond high school – and pursue their dreams.
